Massage Therapist

Karen began practicing massage professionally in 1996 in Santa Cruz, CA, moving to Southern Oregon in 2002 in search of a wonderful place to raise a family. In 2010, she began teaching massage skills to people who want learn to use conscious touch for greater health and connection with their families and friends.Joining the talented team of massage practitioners at Waterstone Spa in 2014, Karen has especially enjoyed combining Esalen style Swedish massage with warm stones and providing tandem massage experiences for couples in the spa’s duet rooms.

Her presence is gentle and unhurried and her touch is fluid and articulate, facilitating profound dialogue between body/mind and spirit. Her intuitive and versatile style draws upon her training in both Eastern and Western massage traditions and she continues to expand her understanding of the body through exploring Somatic therapies.

A mom of two adventurous boys who challenge her to be the best person she can be, Karen is experiencing the world freshly through their eyes as they grow and change daily. She also enjoys singing with the Rogue World Ensemble, bringing world folk musical experiences to our community.
