Remember to drink plenty of fluids during winter months too. Fluids with anti-oxidants and no sugar are best:
- Good for your hair & scalp – lessens static & dehydration, flaky tight scalp, weakened strands & color fading.
- Good for your skin – less flaky & dull. Plumps the skin.
- Good for your nails & cuticles! – less brittle, pealing & splitting
Omega 3, good fats are also good to help moisturize from within and for outer conditioning, see our Specialist for complimentary recommendations on what services and/or home care products you need.
The products you use in the summer may not be suitable for winter months where it is colder outdoors with less humidity and drying heat indoors.
Mackenzie Lokan-hair stylist from Waterstone Salon, has recently been given the chance to take part in a great event being held at the Scenic Middle School in Central Point on Tuesday, May 18th. They are running a drive to collect as much hair as they can to send to the Gulf Relief Efforts. If they succeed in collecting enough hair, her friend and client, Alex Grover, will cut his long hair in front of the whole school of about 600-800 students. Mr. Grover is a science and math teacher there. She will be cutting his hair there.
Students lined up to cut their hair and compete further with Mr. Grover in other ways. These competitions gave students a free pass for a recess during the class period of their choice for one week. Other stylists from Waterstone Salon including Julie, Renee & Amanda have volunteered to help out for the exciting assembly.
